Doc McStuffins
I worked on the following cookies for my cousin in Illinois. As they celebrated her daughter’s 2nd birthday she requested cookies to hand out as Thank You favors to guests at the party.
This was a fun cookie set to make. Happy birthday Noelia!!
Because working on my blog takes so much of my time, I haven’t been posting my work lately. The fastest way for me to post my latest work is on Pinterest, Facebook and my new favorite Instagram. Check it out and join me!
I’ll be back with some details about these cookies.
Iowa Hawkeye Sugar Cookies
Happy New Year!!!
I start a new year baking a popular cookie design in my Sports category, the Iowa Hawkeye cookie.
I have previously made this cookie (several times), but only in the distinctive yellow color. As I googled the logo once again to make sure that I have correct details and proportions, I noticed how there is also a black Hawkeye. How did I not pay attention to that before?
Well, that’s how the black Hawkeye cookie was born.
I was very happy with the look of the black Iowa Hawkeye. It was my husband’s favorite and my daughter really liked it too.
The cookies were offered as favors at a 50th birthday celebration. I received very nice and kind words from my customer as she mentioned how “beautiful” and “delicious” the cookies were.
Seeing Stars?
Lots of tiny stars to show you.
I finished over 75 small sugar cookie stars and colored them Turquoise, Yellow and Purple. The cookies are frosted in royal icing.
The cookies were then packaged into individual bags for cookie favors. I included one of each color.
The cookie favors were handed out to kids at the Charlee’s Elite School of Dance.
These packages of cookie favors are perfect edible gifts. The nice thing about them is that I can make them using the stars cookie cutters you just saw, flowers, eggs (for Easter) and so many more shapes.
